Grants Through Centre For Disease Control And Prevention

This grant was received in February 2016 to provide HIV Testing and Counseling services to the general population, 40,000 in Bwari Area Council, 15,000 in Abuja Municipal Council of FCT, 20,000 in Obi, 8000 in Lafia and 8000 in Doma LGAs of Nasarawa state by September 2016. By the end of May 2016, we have provided HTC services to over 50,000 general populations in all the LGAs and have linked 540 HIV positive clients to care and treatment. The project is ongoing.

Between February and May 2016, we received grant from Solina Health/IHVN Action Plus-up Project and through this grant provided HIV Testing and Counseling services to  30,399 clients in AMAC and 15,603 in Bwari through community outreaches, door-to-outreaches and other outreach methods while 234 HIV positive clients were also linked to care and treatment in Solina Health/IHVN supported facilities in the two area councils.

Through this grant which was awarded for March 2014 to September 2015, we provided HTC services to 6500 key population, 6200 general population and 2150 pregnant women under ante natal setting in  Okigwe Senatorial district in Imo State and Enugu West Senatorial district in Enugu State between march 2016 and September 2016. Other key achievements  with this grant includes provision of comprehensive services to 1500 vulnerable children and 800 households, establishment of 5 Village Savings and Loans Associations, and provision of TB screening services to 250 TB suspects

Between February 2014 and September 2015, CLAP received the above grant from PHI-IPSAN project to Strengthen Community Response for Integrated Community HIV Services in Akwanga and Nasarawa Eggon LGAs of Nasarawa State. Through this grant, CLAP provided HTC services to 80,380 general populations in Akwanga and Nasarawa Eggon and linked 472 HIV positive clients to care and treatment. CLAP also provided HTC services to 3,724 key populations and linked 27 positive clients to care and treatment. Through the grant, CLAP also enrolled and provided comprehensive care and support services to 1530 vulnerable children and 4590 active beneficiaries, trained 500 caregivers on parenting skills and household economic strengthening, and linked 215 caregivers to Village Savings and Loans Associations.

Integrated Program For Sustainable Action Against HIV/AIDS in Nigeria (IPSAN

This grant was received from September – December 2013 to enhance demand for ANC, PMTCT and access to HTC and Community TB prevention services for Key Population in Kogi, Benue and Gombe States. Through the grant, we provided HTC services to 32,000 general population, 6000 key population and 1850 pregnant women under ante natal setting. Through the grant, CLAP also enrolled and provided comprehensive care and support including scholastic materials to 1220 OVC in Okene LGA of Kogi State, care and support to 1198 PLHIV in Kogi and Gombe States, care and support to 982 persons affected by AIDS and comprehensive HIV prevention messages to 450 key populations, 3000 out-of-school youths and 4500 in-school youths.

Between March 2013 and September 2013, CLAP received grant from Solina Health/IHVN Action Plus-up Project and through this grant provided HIV Testing and Counseing services to 37,400 general population in Abaji Area Council of FCT and Akwanga LGA of Nasarawa State, 12,600 key populations in Abaji Area Council and Akwanga LGA. CLAP through this grant also provided comprehensive HIV/AIDS prevention intervention to 15,000 ISYs, 5000 OSYs and 2,600 key populations; comprehensive care and support services to 1200 vulnerable children including scholastic materials, trained 200 caregivers of vulnerable children on business management skills, startup capital of   N20, 000 each to 100 caregivers, e.t.c.
